Components of GroGuru Soil Moisture Probe

Fox- the orange telemetry unit that operates similar to an antanae and delivers the data from the badger to your tablet.

How to Install a GroGuru Soil Moisture Probe:
- Insert 2 D batteries into the badger.
- Dig down to find the tape and an emitter.
- Find the next emitter.
- Measure 7.5 inches along the tape from an emitter, then 7.5 inches adjacent to the tape and install the probe there to get the best reading of the soil moisture average in the field.
- Dig a hole large enough for the badger, and bore a hole for the probe.
- Place the probe hole 8 inches from the flag.
- Create a slurry – a mixture of dirt and water that is used as a glue/sealant – and use it to install the probe.
- Ensure there are no air pockets by gently shaking the probe side to side when sliding it down into the hole.
- Cover and compact the soil over the probe and badger.
- Use the fox’s “hunt mode” to find the correct installation distance for the telemetry unit.
- Drill a hold for the fox’s post and install.
- Create a pin in google maps of the location.
Done! Groguru fox telemetry unit can be removed for farming operations such as planting, harvesting, spraying, etc., and replaced when they are completed.
