“An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” from Benjamin Franklin is extremely applicable here. Electricity is an amazing resource available to us but can be dangerous if not handled appropriately. One small step that can be lifesaving is the back hand check. When approaching metal devices like shipping containers, electric pump containers, or center pivots, always touch the device with the back of your hand first. This precaution ensures that if there's an electrical short, you may feel a shock . Grabbing a live, electrified device can cause your hand to clamp down, preventing you from letting go. 

Mixing water and electricity can be dangerous, so take this simple step to stay safe and avoid potential injuries.
